Vancity doesn’t comply with the regulator’s guidelines

There are myriad ways in which Vancity has sidelined the members’ democratic control of the institution that we own. I filed a formal complaint about it; you can read about it here:

The regulator responded to both my complaints in the same letter, even though they’re distinct issues, and were filed separately. This makes it less obvious that they’re just trying to ignore me.

Fundamentally, the regulator doesn’t care about members’ rights as shareholders. A good indicator that my complaints are valid is that the regulator cannot give an honest response to the points I raise.
